The Bandra Fair and the Mount Mary church celebrations are a treat for foodies and street foodies.. There’s every chance some old family from the nearby villages sets up a stall with savouries that are pretty rare in Mumbai.  You will find vendors coming from all over the country, and selling their wares – and that includes people from states like Rajasthan and Gujarat selling their food. The Bandra Fair is a vibrant street festival, and for some years, it has become a bargain point for imitation jewellery, off-brand toys and even clothes, to an extent.  However, the fair still retains its old flavour, and is very much a ‘Bandra’ and ‘Mumbai’ event – there’s no doubt about that. The easiest way to exit the Bandra Fair is to walk from Kane Road to Bandstand, where BEST is running special buses, from Bandstand to Bandra Station.

Visitors can attend masses and novenas at the Basilica, shop at stalls selling sweets, candles, and devotional items, enjoy cultural programs, and check out the new Pranam Maria Exhibition Centre.
