Some people regard it as Chowpatty Beach. It is between Andheri and Vile Parle on the western line of Mumbai and is one of the most populated and vibrant areas, making it one of the most critical places to see in Mumbai. How to reach?

If you are travelling on the Western Line, the best route is to alight at Andheri railway station and then travel by bus. The beach is 6+ kilometres away from Andheri Station. Juhu Beach is also connected to several Metro stations at a distance of 2 to 6 kilometres.

Things to do 

There’s a lot to do, and more activities available on this beach than any other in Mumbai. However, the crown jewel of the beach activities is the street food. The beach arguably has the highest population of street vendors offering some of the best street food available, from pav bhaji to chamach golas and everything in between.

Juhu is well-known as the residence of several film stars, but don’t expect to stumble upon anyone. Yes, you might see some well-heeled folks and socialites, but seeing a film star at Juhu Beach in 2025 is a foregone conclusion – it will be very, very rare.  Just make sure to take that selfie if it ever happens.

It is famous for its vibrant street food stalls, Bollywood celebrity residences nearby, and stunning sunset views. Many locals and tourists come here for evening walks, leisure, and snacks like pav bhaji, pani puri, and bhel puri.

The beach is open all day, but the best time to visit is early morning or during the evening (around sunset). Summers can be humid, while monsoons bring high tides, so winter (November–February) is the most pleasant season.

Swimming is not recommended at Juhu Beach due to strong tides and pollution. Visitors usually enjoy walking along the shore instead.

You can reach Juhu Beach by road, auto-rickshaw, or cab. The nearest railway stations are Vile Parle, Santacruz, and Andheri. Mumbai Metro (Line 1) also offers convenient connections.
